Email: Todd Guy, Communication Studies
For this week I had something planned and then today we had the emergency experience of learning around 4pm that classes were canceled for Monday. As a Speech Instructor, I had students who would be giving speeches tomorrow and Knew that they’d be freaking out. Thus, I knew it was imperative that I send out a clear concise message explaining how each day would change to accommodate this emergency. I had to account for how just one day would affect the time constraints in each of my remaining days. Decisions needed to be made to provide them time for all the remaining assignments and not for just one single class day. So here are 2 screenshots of a student needing comforting and the second screen shot of the email sent out to clearly explain how things needed to be moved to accommodate, what will hopefully turn out to be, this one single day of campus closure.
